The 3-Series platform is a revolutionary engineering advancement in integrated control and automation technology. More than just new AV control processor, Crestron 3-Series is an integrated building management platform, capable of unifying the various technologies within a commercial building to operate as a single, intelligent system rather than in silos as separate systems.

Crestron-3-series

More power, speed, memory

3-Series features more power, speed, memory, network connectivity and security than ever before. These network-grade appliances have the reliability and power to drive an entire building without compromising performance or stability.

Native SNMP and BACnet/IP

3-Series control systems natively support SNMP and BACnet/IP to seamlessly communicate and integrate with IT, HVAC, BMS and security systems. Crestron 3-Series provides IT and facilities managers with greater visibility to all devices and systems on the network using their existing management software.

Distributed Architecture

3-Series unique distributed architecture enables multi-tasking, essential to an integrated building solution. Up to 10 programs can operate independently and simultaneously. The central logic engine facilitates rapid communication among all the programs so they function intelligently as a single system.

Crestron-3-Series-modular

The distributed architecture makes programming, troubleshooting and uploading much faster and easier because the code is organized into a few smaller programs rather than one large program.

More importantly, program updates won’t disable the entire system. Changes can be made and uploaded to one program while all the other programs continue to operate seamlessly in the background. This is critical in any integrated building management application.

Subnet Control Port

In addition to the LAN port, PRO3, AV3 and CP3N 3-Series systems include a Control Subnet port. This is a powerful and distinctive feature that enables the entire Crestron ecosystem (all systems connected to the control system such as lighting, shades, thermostats, audio/video and security) to connect to the LAN/WAN using just one IP address. Also, the additional Subnet port establishes parallel control with IT networks, which maintains the performance, speed, reliability and security of each.

Crestron 3-Series control systems are the most powerful and versatile network management platforms, offering innovative design architecture and features that make Integrated Building Technology possible today. Crestron Fusion Enterprise Management Software adds a layer of intelligence on top of the 3-Series platform to make an integrated building a truly smart building.

Features & Benefits

FEATURES BENEFITS
High Performance Distributed Architecture The key component of a Hiperwall installation is a set of computer monitors that are physically adjacent to each other in a “tiled” arrangement. Each monitor is driven by a PC that can be external, or embedded in the monitor as found in the Samsung UXn family. Each PC/monitor pair is called a display node. Each of these nodes is responsible for displaying a portion of the overall image that is being shown on the Hiperwall system. Each PC is responsible for rendering the portion of the overall image that is being displayed on its associated monitor. Thus, all of the PCs work in parallel to render the total image, avoiding the performance limitations that would come from attempting to render the entire image on a single PC.
Scalable Deployments Since each display node includes a monitor and PC, as you add more display nodes to a Hiperwall installation you increase the total display area and the total processing power. As a result, it is possible to expand the Hiperwall system without any practical limits. Systems can start with as few as 2 display nodes and can grow as large as space and network bandwidth permit.
Hardware Agnostic The Hiperwall software runs as a standard application operating on a standard PC connected via a standard ethernet network. The only specialized technology is the software itself. This reliance on standard hardware eliminates the cost and complexity of specialized switches and servers while giving the user greater flexibility in selecting from a variety of price performance points to meet their particular application requirements.
Display Agnostic The Hiperwall software running on each display node is rendering images through the video controller. As such, the software is not aware of the specific type of monitor being used. While LCD monitors are the most commonly used display technology, the user has the choice of any type of display, including LCD, Plasma, CRT, Projector or any of the new and emerging technologies like Organic LED. This flexibility enables specific display technologies to be deployed to best meet the resolution, image size, brightness and cost requirements of any application.
